  • Whey protein is a kind of protein and is quite
    popular these days. Whey protein is one of the
    most popular type that is being used. Whey
    protein is obtained from milk and is said to
    contain 9 essential amino acids. Whey protein and
    casein are the two proteins found in milk. There
    are three types of whey proteins. Whey
    Concentrate (It consists of 70-80 protein and is
    cheaper compared to the other types.), Whey
    Isolate (It is formed when whey concentrate
    undergoes further processing. It has 90 protein.
    It is costlier than concentrate.) Whey
    Hydrolysate (This is the costliest type since it
    is highly processed and in pre-digested form. It
    is easy for the body to absorb.)

  • There are different types of protein supplements
    whey protein (made from milk), soy protein,
    pea protein, quinoa protein, hemp protein, rice
    protein, etc. If you are lactose intolerant, then
    you can avoid whey protein. If you are allergic
    to soy, then avoid soy-based proteins. Some
    products contain soy as emulsifier as well.
    Plant-based protein is also available in the
    market these days. The most popular supplements
    are MB, Nutrabay, ON, Oziva, etc. Not all people
    require same quantity of protein supplements, and
    it depends on your workout routine, your diet,
    your protein requirement, etc. You can talk to
    your fitness professional before starting
    anything.
