About This Presentation
Title:

Use of Chest X-Ray in the Diagnosis of Lung Cancer

Description:

Here is important information on Use of Chest X-Ray in the Diagnosis of Lung Cancer. This gained importance in the medical field because it gives a three dimensional view. Nodules and tumours are more clearly visible. If you need any query, then you can contact on 9899606939. For more information, you can visit: – PowerPoint PPT presentation

Title: Use of Chest X-Ray in the Diagnosis of Lung Cancer

1
Which one is better to detect Lung Cancer,
X-Ray or CT Scan?
2
  • Lung cancer is a deadly disease welcomed by
smoking and drinking. Working in factories or
long stays in any polluted area can equally
contribute to the multiplication of cells.
Unfortunately it is detected at the last stage
when the tumour has detached from its origin and
is ready to attract the blood streams. This phase
    is called metastasis.

3
  • Now coming to the diagnosis part. Chest x-ray is
the most common way to get the image of lung
cancer. But modern doctors prefer CT scans or
computed tomography. This gained importance in
the medical field because it gives a three
dimensional view.  Nodules and tumours are more
clearly visible. It has a downside too. Mostly
false positive reports arrive which leads to
chaos and patients often opt for a second choice
that is a big financial affair. Hence CT scan has
    both pros and cons.

4
  • To compete with CT scan x-ray has also improved
from imaging to digital imaging. But this cannot
hold the fact that these help in early detection
of nodules.  However with the arrival of LDCD the
high resolution x-ray fell flat. Hence if you are
in need of CT scan better search CT near me and
select the one that has the infrastructure of
performing LDCD. To save life a needle biopsy is
required post x-ray or LDCD. This is done if the
tumour is deep inside the body. This needle
biopsy collects the tissues and is examined to
find cancer cells. All this information is
generated by the National Cancer Institute. LDCD
has one downside which is it emits radiation.

5
  • CT being a computer aided detection wins over
x-ray.  This technology also increases the
effectiveness of the physician. NLST has reached
this conclusion after running a trial with
smokers who have been inhaling the gas for about
30 years. This drive was conducted to check the
    mortality rate.

6
  • To conclude CT scan gives a more detailed study
about the affected part as compared to regular
x-ray. MRI scan is also a step to detect lung
cancer. But since MRI scans involve radio waves
and magnetic waves it is only used to check if
the cancer has reached the spinal cord or brain.
PET scan comes to rescue when the cancer has
spread to other parts except the brain and spinal
cord. Means this is used in combination with CT
scan. This is used when the affected zones are
difficult to detect. This cannot be combined with
    x-ray.

  • People belonging to polluted cities like Delhi,
Uttar Pradesh or Maharashtra might fall prey to
this deadly disease. Keep a list of hospitals
where CT Chest scan in Delhi, Mumbai or Hyderabad
    is carried out.

8
  • If you are looking for CT scan in Delhi Hamdard
imaging centre is the best imaging centre in
south Delhi. Located at the heart of the city
thisdiagnostic centre provides an elite class
facility for conducting critical tests.  Once you
visit the place you will find how systematic it
is and give accurate results. A trustworthy
organisation where people turn to check their
    health.
