Andy Sarwal work in both Texas has allowed him to
witness firsthand the major issues that small
communities within a fairly large metropolitan
area are faced with. Brutal inequalities in
measures of poverty, unemployment, educational
attainment, and health benefits are all problems
that are within the realm of correction.

Whether its racial disparities, socioeconomic
status, or get the attention of political
figures, I will continue to listen to those from
communities similar to mine and be the liaison
that is needed to create and empower change.
