Azurite 10g
Azurite is a natural carbonate of copper usually
described as a bright blue or sometimes as a
greenish blue. Azurite varies in masstone color
from deep blue to pale blue with a greenish
undertone depending on such factors as the purity
of the mineral and the grade (particle size) of
the pigment.
3
Ultramarine Ash 50g
Ultramarine Ash is a pigment which is the
residuum of lapis lazuli after the ultramarine
has been extracted. It was used by the old
masters as a middle or neutral tint for flesh,
skies, and draperies, being of a purer and
tenderer gray than that produced by the mixture
of more positive colors.
4
Lapis Lazuli 100g
Lapis Lazuli is a rock containing the mineral
lazurite, a complex sodium calcium aluminum
silicate sulfate, in which the part of the
silicon atoms (SI) are substituted for sulfur
atoms (S) in the form of sulfur anions. The rich
blue color is due to the sulfur inherent in the
structure of lazurite. It is usually described as
an intense blue to a gray blue.
5
Riebeckite Net Vol 4 oz
Riebeckite is a not well-known dark blue mineral
although most people have probably seen stones
that at one time were composed of riebeckite
crystals. The mineral was named after a famous
18th-century German explorer and mineralogist,
Emil Riebeck (1853-1885).
