Biography
Stephen Semprevivo is an entrepreneur,
consultant, and seasoned senior executive with
deep experience in revenue generation,
operational change and crisis management and
customer acquisition. He works across industries
with significant experience in the digital media,
consumer services, financial services, and
professional services industries. Stephen
Semprevivos current focus is on helping grow
middle market and start up companies where he is
involved at the board, advisory, and operational
levels.

Stephen Semprevivo is currently Managing Director
at Blue Sky Partners focused helping middle
market and start up companies specifically in the
areas of strategy, growth, operational
optimization, acquisition due diligence and
technology incubation. Prior to Blue Sky
Partners, Stephen Semprevivo was Chief Strategy
Growth Officer at Cydcor, the largest provider of
outsourced sales services in North America. Prior
to Cydcor he was President, General Manager (GM)
and COO of Machinimas MCN, the leading digital
media network for fandom and gaming culture
reaching over 200M viewers monthly where he ran
day to day operations. Prior to Machinima,
Semprevivo was president of Experian Interactive
Media. Additionally, he served as president of
LowerMyBills.com, ClassesUSA.com and the
Experian Interactive Innovation Center .
Semprevivo was responsible for developing,
growing and managing Experian Interactive Medias
online consumer brands and oversees the
day-to-day operations for the product, marketing,
sales and technology for the business.

Prior to being named president of Experian
Interactive Media, Semprevivo served as executive
vice president and general manager of
LowerMyBills.com. During this time he played an
integral role in starting the mortgage business
within Lowermybills.com and then growing it into
the largest mortgage lead generation business on
the Internet. During Semprevivos tenure,
LowerMyBills.com emerged as a leader in online
direct marketing and in 2005 was sold to Experian
(EXPN) for 330 million. In 2007, the
LowerMyBills.com silhouette campaign won the
Internet Advertising Competition award for Best
Financial Services Rich Media Online Campaign.

Before joining Experian, Stephen Semprevivo was
chief executive officer of Korn/Ferry Futurestep,
an International provider of executive
recruitment and human capital solutions with
offices in 36 countries and over 400 professional
recruiters. He also served as Korn/Ferry
Internationals (KFI NYSE) chief administrative
officer and, as a member of the firms operating
committee, oversaw the corporate functions of
technology, marketing and human capital.
Korn/Ferry in the worlds largest executive
search firm. Semprevivo was president and chief
operating officer of GetSmart.com, an online
service connecting consumers to lenders. As part
of the founding management team at GetSmart,
Semprevivo created the first short form internet
mortgage lead. Additionally, he was involved in
all aspects of the business including the sale of
the company for 38 million in 1999 to Providian
Financial, which was subsequently acquired by
Washington Mutual Card Services. During
Semprevivos tenure, Getsmart.com was recognized
by Yahoo Internet Life as one of the 50 most
incredibly useful sites. Additionally, in 2000
Semprevivo was recognized as Leader of the Year
by Credit Card Magazine. Prior to joining
Getsmart.com, Semprevivo was Vice President of
Marketing and Business Development at Cendant
Corporation, a Fortune 500 company. At Cendant,
Semprevivo was responsible for managing client
development and channel marketing in the areas of
direct mail, television and call center
operations.

The Stephen Semprevivo Startup Scholarship is an
achievement-based scholarship awarded to students
interested in starting their own business.
Students are recognized for their ideas and
capacities, as well as for their commitment to
being an entrepreneur. As the 1st class in 2021,
the Stephen Semprevivo Scholarship will select 2
