What are Belbin Team Roles?

• Dr Meredith Belbin identified nine distinct
  clusters of behavior that individuals exhibit at
  work, and called them Team Roles. Each team
  role defines a tendency to behave, contribute and
  interrelate with others in a particular way. In
  the words of Dr Belbin, Team Roles serve "as a
  common meaningful language to bridge the gap
  between ourselves and our colleagues". While all
  of us are capable of  All nine Belbin team
  roles , we have two or three Team Roles that we
  are most comfortable with and prefer a few
  others that we can manage to cover if we need to
  and the rest we prefer not to adopt at
