5 Common Risks At A Construction Site
2
Introduction
Construction sites are not less than a paradise
for risks and hazards for the workers and the
material being used on the site. A construction
site is a very dynamic place where every minute
several new things are happening. In this
situation, presence of a professional team
offering site management services is inevitable.
A site management service ensures things are
managed effectively on the site to reduce and
mitigate the risks.

  1. Working on high altitudes

At a construction site, workers are mostly using
on high platforms and altitudes to build the
structure. Workers falling from a high place can
get seriously injured. Many of such incidents can
be fatal as well. Site management services can
ensure the workers are wearing the safety harness
and other equipment to reduce and mitigate the
risks of falling down and getting injured due to
the height factor.

2. Moving objects can be dangerous
On construction site, many machines, vehicles,
people are moving here and there all day long.
When there is so much movement, there are more
chances of people, vehicle or any other under
construction structure can get damaged. Workers
need to be aware of the movements around them and
act accordingly to escape any incident.

3. Falls, trips and slips
Construction site can offer many situations and
places where workers can slip, trip or fall due
to haphazardly placed construction materials,
equipment and trash on the site. Workers are
prone to find themselves blinded due to many
factors and meet an accident. Proper placement of
the materials and implementing strict policies
for effective operations on the site can reduce
these risks.

4. Noise problem
In the longer run the workers exposed to noisy
environment can suffer from hearing problems.
Proper site management services ensure that the
workers are not exposed to unbearable noise all
day. Protective equipment must be available to
the workers to protect their ears from the
consequence of constant exposure to loud
environment.

5. Fibers materials in the air
When there is a lot of grinding, cutting and of
the processes going on at a construction site,
respiratory problems caused by fibers and of the
material in the air is a big risk. Proper
material management can surely reduce this risk
of workers catching respiratory diseases due to
so much things in the air.
