THE BASICS WHAT IS CARBON FARMING?
Carbon farming refers to a broad set of
agricultural practices that are aimed at storing
atmospheric carbon in the soil and vegetation
while reducing greenhouse gas emissions with
better use and management of vegetation,
livestock and fertilisers. These practices can
range from a single change in land management,
such as grazing management and no-till
cultivation, to a whole-of-farm integrated
activities which maximise carbon sequestration
and minimise carbon emissions.
