What Is Obesity ?
  • Obesity is a complex, relapsing, multifactorial
    and neurobehavioral disease which involves excess
    body fat which leads to various abnormal changes
    in the body.
  • It is a complex and chronic disease and is not
    only restricted to cosmetic concern but attracts
    many health hazards like cardiac disease, kidney
    disease, sleep apnea, hypertension, diabetes,
    knee pain, PCOS in females, joint and knee pain
    etc

Is Obesity an Epidemic ?
  • Obesity has been termed as an epidemic BY WHO as
    across the globe, there are 1 billion
    overweight adults, at least 300 million of them
    obese.
  • Obesity and overweight pose a major risk for
    chronic diseases, including type 2 diabetes,
    cardiovascular disease, hypertension and stroke,
    and certain forms of cancer.
