Title: Safety Tips on using Compressed gas Cylinders

1
Safety tips on compressed gas cylinders
2
Safety Tips
  • About every project has compressed gas cylinders.
They 're simple and convenient to deal with, but
    highly risky, too.
  • The compression, as well as the gas inside all,
pose serious dangers. Most other workers who come
into direct contact with compressed gas tanks
will be able to recognize what particles are
inside the compressor, how the cylinder is
connected, and how the cylinder is stored.

3
Safety Tips
  • Cylinder tanks will be accredited every 10 years
and icons will help you find out what the next
    qualification will be.
  • Generally, there is a last accreditation date and
a plus mark indicating 5 years, the star symbol
    showing another 5 years.

4
Safety Tips
  • Reviewing the cylinders' logos and warning
signals can better explain their risks. Carbon
    monoxide can be toxic.
  • Flammable gasses and oxidizers such as fluorine
and oxygen cause flames and explosions.
  • First, open the oxygen cylinder valve a bit, once
the needle has completely stopped, then turn the
    valve all the way.

5
Safety Tips
  • An Oxygen tank will have the valve opened due to
    high tank pressure.

6
Safety Tips
  • Once you buy your compressed gas cylinder, try to
ensure the canister is clearly stated.
Verification should be accented on the cylinder
    or label.
  • When the marking of the bottle content is
confusing, you should have a new bottle mark as
long as you identify the contents. Compressed gas
cylinders should be treated using a hand cart
    wherever possible.

7
Safety Tips
  • Hold the protection cap along and don't drag or
rotate the cylinders. When a ring dropped, let
it! Never seek a drop ring.
  • When a cylinder is empty, the valve will be
locked, the mechanism bled and the regulator
    removed.
  • The valve cap should be removed and the cylinder
named empty and differentiated from the other
    cylinders in usage.

8
Safety Tips
  • Compressed gas containers are a common cause of
    chemical plant hazards.
  • So take that into consideration when performing
hazard assessment tasks. Otherwise following the
safety tips that are shared here.
