What is Eating Disorder

• Eating disorders are characterised by an abnormal
  attitude towards food that causes
• someone to change their eating habits and
  behaviour. A person with an eating disorder
• focuses excessively on weight and shape, leading
  them to make unhealthy choices about
• food with damaging results to their health.
• Eating disorders include a range of conditions
  that can affect someone physically,
  psychologically and socially.

About Ellern Mede

• Ellern Mede has been providing evidence-based
  specialised treatment for children and young
• people with eating disorders since 2000. We
  support children and young people aged 8 to
• 18 years, with a full care pathway to achieve
  exceptional rates of recovery.
• Our outpatient services treat the full range of
  eating disorders including selective eating
  disorders
• , bulimia or binge eating. Outpatients can be
  seen at our hospitals. Initial appointments can
  be
• held in central London by arrangement, however
  our full treatment programmed is provided at
• the North London hospital sites.
