• As per the latest changes,the Income Tax
  Department has launched the new look of the PAN
  card.There are few additions done tomake the
  card moreuseful and user-friendly. This new card
  has beenstarted toprovide by the IT department
  post-2018, 7th July.
• But all the PAN cards that were issued before
  this time will also remain valid and active just
  like before. In case someone wishes to change
  their previous PAN card and get the new version,
  one has to submit the existing one and apply for
  the new card.

• The reprinting of the new card will not take much
  time, and it will get delivered by post. To get
  this procedure done, one may apply online for the
  New PAN Card. On the other hand, you may leave
  the job to an experienced agent who will follow
  all the steps and will make sure that the
  application is absolutely error-free.
• In case there is confusion about the new PAN card
  changes one must know the following things-
  The two major things that were added by the IT
  department of the Indian Government are the QR
  Code and the Positions of certain fields such as
  signature, hologram, photograph and QR code. For
  new PAN, apply online, and you will get the new
  changes as per the mentioned additions.

• Within the enhanced QR code, the photograph and
  signature of the PAN cardholder will be present.
  With this, the card will contain the date of
  birth, name, father's or mother's name. All these
  details will be digitally signed and will be
  encoded inside the QR code.
• With the help of a specific mobile app, this QR
  code can be read. It is highly recommended that
  the code is scanned using an auto-focus camera
  with high resolution (12 mp or above). Applicants
  will get the QR code in their e-PAN as well.
• Apart from these, the position of all the details
  will be reset in the new format of the PAN card
  design. The alterations that will be done are as
  follows

Earlier the cardholder's photograph was
on the lower end. And in the new format, it
is on the top-left. The PAN is written at the
top centre position below the Indian
emblem. Both the name and the father's name
has been changed to the left side of the
new card. In the new card, the date of birth is
on the left side of the bottom. From lower left
side the signature has been replaced to the lower
centre of the card.

• The QR code is also in the hologram.
• The hologram of the card has been shifted to
  the rear end.
• One of the biggest changes done in the PAN card
  procedure is the introduction of the DigiLocker
  app. With the help of this app, one can get
  their new format of the PAN card issued by the
  Income Tax Department. This app contains all the
  necessary information of the user such as name,
  gender, date of birth and the PAN number. It also
  contains the QR code. Applicants will also find a
  DigiLocker verified logo mention in the PAN.

To get your PAN card using this app, one has to
be a registered user of the app after downloading
it. You need to login and proceed as per the
instructions to get your PAN card details.
