Farkel Game
  • Farkel is a dice game which can be played more
than two players. Maximum two players can play
this game. It is an ancient game. We are going to
introduce simple rules for Farkel. The game was
    marketed commercially 1980s.
  • Farkel game is also known as Zonk, Zilch, 5000,
10000, Wimpout, and hot dice. These rules are
made according to family interest. The Farkel
rules are being changed from family to family.

The Object of The Game
  • At the end of the game, the player emerges with
the highest scores above 10000 points at the
final round is declared a clear winner.

5
Farkel Rules in a Nutshell
  • At the outset of the game, each player is
distributed 6 dice. Each player is supposed to
throw dice to score. Scores are made. Ask one
player to keep running a scoreboard. Players
gather around the flat surface. Players are going
to take turns in a clockwise direction.
  • Players should be aware of point systems. If a
player rolls 1 is worth 100 points. If a player
rolls 2 is worth 200 points. 100 points are given
for each roll. Three 1s are worth 1,000 points.
The players should set aside one scoring die of
their choice. It is not required to set aside all
    scoring dice.

6
  • According to the Farkel game, if the players roll
1-2-2-5-5-6 during their turn they may the 1 and
5 for scoring. They can go to set aside merely
the 1. The scoring dice which are not set aside
can be rerolled with the non-scoring dice. If the
players have already set aside for scoring (it is
called hot dice) in this situation, the players
can continue rolling all six dice again and add
more points to their accumulated score. They have
two options. Either they can end their turns or
pass the dice to the next player.

7
Ending up
  • In case, no score will be made by the players
this is called Farkel. The players can continue
rolling dice which are not used previously. The
player who scores above 10000 points is going to
    be a winner.
  • The Farkel rules are easy to follow. The rules
seem to be a bit complex but once you learn the
Farkel rules you will enjoy this game.
