SEPAK TAKRAW

• It is also known as kick volleyball.
• It is from Southeast Asia.
• Sepak means kick in Malay and takraw is the
  Thai word for the woven ball.
• Jokgu is a version played in Korea. It combines
  soccer and volleyball.

CABER TOSS

• It is a traditional Scottish athletic event.
• Caber comes from the Gaelic word that means
  wooden beam.
• Cabers can be 4.8 to 6.7m tall and can weigh from
  45 to 82kg.

CAMEL JUMPING

• This acrobatic sport originates from the deserts
  of Yemen.
• It is played by the Zaraniq tribesmen.
• Camels are around 2 meters tall!

ROLLER DERBY

• It developed from the roller skating marathons in
  the 1930s.
• Two teams skate in the same direction. The
  jammer tries to score points by lapping the
  other team, and the blockers try to stop this.
• It was considered for the 2020 Summer Olympics
  but was eliminated after rounds of voting.

LOG ROLLING

• It began in the late 1800s in USA and Canada when
  logging was a major industry.
• After cutting down the trees, the logs floated
  down the rivers. This created a jam, and the
  workers often walked on the logs.
• There are 5 log sizes in the US. I Log is 15
  inches in diameter and 12 feet long., and the V
  Log is just 11 inches in diameter and 13 feet
  long.
