Coral Beach Snorkling Saturno Cave Matanzas
City Tour
Playa Coral (Coral beach Varadero) If you are
interested in Snorkeling then this is the
nearest, best and must visit place from Varadero
to enjoy good shore-snorkeling and see a wide
variety of fish and corals. Playa Coral is
located on the old coastal road approximately 15
km (9.3 mi) west of Varadero, Playa Coral is a
popular stop in many of the excursions offered in
Varadero.
Saturno Cave, Varadero Located one kilometer
south of the Via Blanca and around 30 minutes by
car from Varadero lies CuevaSaturno - a flooded
underground cave filled with a dazzling pool of
crystal-clear freshwater. The water temperature
hovers at a pleasurable 20-22ºC while its
exceptional clarity means you can stare far into
the depths from surface level. Many people that
make the trip here simply come to enjoy a
leisurely swim in these bath-warm waters.

Saturno Caves Matanzas City Tour
Matanzas is the capital of the Cuban province of
Matanzas. Known for its poets, culture, and
Afro-Cuban folklore, it is located on the
northern shore of the island of Cuba, on the Bay
of Matanzas (Spanish Bahia de Matanzas), 90 km
(56 mi) east of the capital Havana and 32km (20
mi) west of the resort town of Varadero. Matanzas
is called the City of Bridges, for the seventeen
bridges that cross the three rivers that traverse
the city (Rio Yumuri, San Juan, and Canimar). For
this reason it was referred to as the "Venice of
Cuba." It was also called "La Atenas de Cuba"
("The Athens of Cuba") for its poets.

Havanas Chinatown Barrio Chino De La Habana
In fact, what is now a small strip of restaurants
on Cuchillo near Calle Zanja is not really a
surprise at all Havana once had one of Latin
Americas largest Chinese communities dating back
to the mid 19thcentury when Cantonese contract or
indentured workers were brought in to work in the
sugar can fields. Many stayed and at one point
Havana had a thriving, vibrant Chinese-Cuban
community, at the time the largest in Latin
America.
