What Challenges Are Faced In Handling Aerospace
Cable Assemblies? Cable assemblies used for
aerospace and other similar applications are
complex and require to face numerous challenges.
Aerospace cable assemblies are large, complex,
heavy, and contain hundreds of components and
multiple breakouts. But, successful aerospace
cable assemblies in India are also reliable, and
are able to withstand extreme environmental and
operating conditions. To meet all of these
criteria, manufacturers need to be qualified,
diligent, and capable to use the proper tools,
while staying aware of the latest technologies,
and staying compliant with the most current
standards and requirements. Earlier, a few
decades ago, aircraft manufacturers disassembled
and repaired most of the cable assemblies
in-house. But today, most manufacturers outsource
the creation, testing, and repairs of cable
assemblies. This brings unique challenges for
assembly manufacturers to repair assemblies that
they havent manufactured. In such cases, they
are reliant on the documentation provided by the
manufacturer who has constructed the assembly.
This is why the original cable assembly
manufacturer is required to create designed
engineering representative repairs, which
determines if the assembly is repairable in the
first place. And, if it is, they develop a
component maintenance manual on how to perform
the repairs. Despite all of this, the fact
remains that manufacturing an aerospace cable
assembly is a manual assembly process. There is a
two month training program that teaches
assemblers the practices of the company where
they are assembling, after which additional
training is provided for the specific
requirements of the customer. Every cable
assembly has its own variation and uniqueness,
which is why assemblers must be trained to
become familiar with every cable assembly
type. Aerospace cable assemblies in India are
also difficult to test and remove, which is why
assemblers are trained for the same with portable
computerized test equipment. These testers
easily connect to the engine fan case assembly,
while providing quick and accurate test results,
and ensuring that the assembly meets

the manufacturers component maintenance manual
requirements. In this way, testing eliminated
unnecessary assembly replacements, thus saving
labour costs and aircraft downtime. More the
number of connections, more complex the aerospace
electrical system and the cable assemblies are
required to keep up with these complexities. It
could be more than 100 feet long assemblies with
almost 100 branches, multiple branches being fed
from a single breakout point. There could be
thousands of connection points within a single
assembly. Imagine the amount of time and effort
required to test an assembly with these thousands
of connectors! There could also be a requirement
of 3D assembly boards. With all of this in mind,
you need a cable assembly manufacturer who can
assist you with all these processes. You never
know what you could need in the future. No matter
what the type of cable assembly you need, you can
rest assured to get the best quality one at
Miracle Aerospace, providers of A-grade aerospace
cable assemblies in India. Everything is done
in-house, right from manufacturing to testing to
repairs with UL approved and military grade
materials, and a team of certified engineers.
