products. It enables constant updates for
physicians, nurses, and pharmacists regarding the
safe and effective use of drugs. Medico marketing
comprises of activities by organizations to grow
the markets for pharmaceutical care. Medicine is
not a luxury product but a necessity to live a
healthy life. In this type of product market
where demand always exists only the awareness and
knowledge is required to promote the product.
Word of mouth, specially from the doctor, is like
a boon for any medicine. The World Health
Organization states that medicinal promotion
should be informative and persuasive and include
activities by pharmaceutical companies.

The manufacturer has to take care of the
information written in the product. Medico
marketing writing is one of the vital tasks for
the correct promotional approach. It is important
to understand that the pharmaceutical product is
approved by a physician after diagnosed patient,
so the doctor is the indirect customer who

information. This practice is really harmful to
society as a whole.
