Identify the Type of Algae
There are many types of algae which can grow in
your swimming pool. So, firstly you should know
the type of algae that is growing in your pool.
The most common form of algae is green. This type
of algae can be found floating in the swimming
pool and can be found on the walls. To prevent
it, paint green colour on the walls of the pool.

Circulation
Turn your pump and filter on to run for 24 hours
per day. It is important that while you are
running your pump you are continuously back
washing your filter as needed.

Brushing the Walls
Brush down the pool walls to get any algae off of
the walls. This will help when you add chemicals
to the swimming pool. If you have a concrete
pool, use a steel brush and if you have a vinyl
pool, use the Nylon swimming Pool Brush.

Pump Room
The pump room should always be taken care of
during pool maintenance. A pool operator must
check the flow meter and the filters should be
backwashed if needed.  Next, need to fill up
chemical reservoirs and observe controller set
points.

Maintaining a swimming pool can be a
time-consuming task. Use the proper algaecide to
maintain your swimming pool and keep the algae at
bay.
