Title: Studio Gears - Acoustic VS Electric Guitars

1
Acoustic Guitars VSElectric Guitars
2
Electric Guitar
Electric Guitar is a guitar that uses one or more
pickups to convert the vibration of its strings
into electrical signals. In order to hear its
full sound, you need to plug in to an amp.
3
Acoustic Guitar
An acoustic guitar is a guitar that produces
sound acoustically by transmitting the vibration
of the strings to the air as opposed to relying
on electronic amplification. It does not require
electrical amplification
4
SIMILARITIES
  • Both have similar physical attributes like
strings, neck, tuning pegs and a bridge.
  • Plucking a string causes both to vibrate.
  • They both have the same number of strings 6, or
    12.
  • They are both held the same way, and played
    similarly.

5
DIFFERENCES
Electric Guitars VS
Acoustic Guitars
  • Electric guitars use magnetic pickups, powered by
electricity to capture the guitar's sound. This
is then boosted by an amplifier.
  • Electric guitars are easier to play.
  • You need to plug in to an amp in order to hear
    its full sound.
  • They have thinner strings.
  • An acoustic guitar uses its built-in sound cavity
to increase the volume of the instrument. A few
accessories is needed to get started with these
    guitars.
  • Acoustic guitars require slightly firmer picking
    and fingering.
  • Acoustic can be played anywhere.
  • They have heavier strings.
