Cargo lashing belt is utilized to fix products
amid transportation, moving, delivery and
storage. In current market, the most
transported method of cargo in containers using
lashing equipment. The containers are
transported through all the three transportation
systems including land, air, and water. The
other two methods are quite easy for
transportation but the cargo handling using
lashing equipment in containers , and on ships it
become very tough to transport.

There is various cargo handling equipment, used
to provide appropriate security to the containers
in the ship. The containers also arrange on one
over another, so they must require proper packing
material that can hold them strongly.

1)BASE TWISTLOCK

• This equipment is used on the deck.
• It mounts on the socket available on the deck.
• The shipping container loaded over the base twist
  lock.
• You can install it by following the procedure
  given in CSM.
• Once the loading complete, make sure the wire
  handle is in the lock position.

2) SEMI-AUTOMATIC TWISTLOCK

• To form a stack between two containers (when one
  container is loaded on top of another container)
  twist lock is used.
• The semi-automatic twist lock is inserted in
  between the two containers.
• For mid locks, this equipment is not used.

3) MIDLOCKS

• Between the 20 ft containers on deck, Midlock is
  used, here semi-automatic twist-lock will not
  work.

4) SEMI-AUTOMATIC BASE TWISTLOCK

• In the lowermost tier on the deck, semi-automatic
  base twist lock is used.
• Except for the position of midlocks, these
  equipment are arranged.

If you have a container over 20 ft, it needs
support properly by all four sides.
Hanging stakers are used to hold the container
from all four sides.
5) HANGING STAKER

6) LASHING RODS

• To hold the containers from one end and are tied
  up to the deck surface from the other hand,
  lashing rods are used.
• You can get the lashing rods in different sizes.

7)TURNBUCKLE BOTTLE SCREW

• To tighten the lashing of the container,
  turnbuckle bottle screw are used so they wont
  get loose.

8) SPAMMER

• To tighten the bottle screws and turnbuckles, a
  spanner or a tightening tool is used.
