• Turtles have outlived the dinosaurs but are in
  terrible trouble. World Turtle Day shellebrations
  are all about making the people more aware of the
  turtles as a species and the ways that can be
  adopted to conserve them.

• Turtles can be saved with a diligent and
  dedicated effort from our side. If efforts are
  not taken from now on, turtles will become a rare
  or extinct species in 50 years.
• To save the turtles we can turn out lights which
  are visible from the beach as otherwise the
  hatchlings lose their way and land themselves in
  dangerous situations.

• We should also reduce the amount of trash
  produced and clean up the sea beaches.
• We should make it a point not to visit the
  nesting and hatching areas of the turtles.

• Reduce the amount of chemicals in use.
• Turtle rescue should be an integral duty of not
  only nature lovers but also any human being who
  does not want a beautiful species to get depleted
  from earth.
• Apart from volunteering donations for wildlife is
  also a step that can be taken.
