7 Weight Loss Myths

Introduction
The smartest way to have a healthy lifestyle is
to make the right choices and eat well. Eating
low-fat, healthy food is good for your heart, as
well as for the rest of your body. Our overall
health depends on various factors, like the food
we eat and the lifestyle we practice. From how
much sleep we get, to how active we are, to how
our bodys metabolisms work, there are many myths
about weight loss we've all heard. In this
presentation, we will show you the top 7 myths
you shouldnt believe about weight loss.

Myth 1 Starving Yourself Helps You Lose Weight
Depriving yourself of food is not the right way
to lose weight. A crash diet is not a good option
and could lead to damaging effects on your body.
Depriving yourself of food can result in loss of
muscle mass.

Myth 2 Breakfast is the Most Important Meal of
the Day
Many people believe that in order to lose weight,
you must eat breakfast. The truth is that some
studies show that starting your day off with
proper nutrition can be beneficial, but most
people do not follow that advice.

Myth 3 Ab Crunches Are the Key to Losing Belly
Fat
Ab crunches may be the most effective abdominal
exercise around, but doing crunches is not
actually the best way to reduce belly fat.
Crunches will keep your abdominal muscles toned,
but they do not burn a lot of calories, and will
not help you to lose weight.

Myth 4 Running is Not Good For Your Knees
Running is actually healthy for the joints, as it
keeps them moving and the blood flowing through
them. Running increases the production of certain
proteins in the cartilage that makes it stronger
over time, not weaker.

Myth 5 Spending More Time in the Gym
Automatically Helps Weight Loss
Spending more time in the gym will not
necessarily help you to lose weight, as for many
people, the struggle with weight comes from a lot
more than just the lack of physical activity.
Making the right choices with your diet is the
biggest factor in altering your lifestyle and
changing your weight.

Myth 6 Drinking Water Helps Reduce Weight
Though extremely important, consuming water alone
will not help you to lose weight. Water is good
for your health and general well-being as it
helps to flush out toxins from the body. Making
many lifestyle changes, including drinking more
water will lead to a healthier life.

Myth 7 You Need to Sweat to Lose Weight
Excessive sweating does not mean that you are
burning more calories than not sweating at all.
Sweating is your bodys method of cooling itself
off and lowering your body temperature. In many
cases, people are able to lose weight by simply
switching up their eating and lifestyle habits,
not just by going to the gym to sweat all
day. Read more http//www.newenglandfatloss.com/
