GUIDANCE IN UNIVERSITY APPLICATION

• 1. Filling on-line graduate degree application.
• 2. Begin the application process at least a month
  before the application deadline.
• 3. Finalize the university and academic program
  carefully.
• 4. Fill out the basic personal details, test
  scores, upload /Type Essays, SOP, LOR details to
  be filled in and then complete the application
  and start paying the fees.
• 5. Carefully review the application and
  additional requirements section before applying.
• 6. Submit Official Scores electronically.
• 7. Submit the documents on-line/off-line
• 8. Financial documents.

ASSISTING IN LOR.

• WHAT IS LOR?
• 1. Letter of Recommendation is a critical part of
  the graduate school application. If you are
  planning on applying to grad school, think about
  whom you will ask for letters of recommendation.
  An applicant would generally need 2--3 LORs.
• 2. In case the applicant does not have any work
  experience, then all of them have to be from his
  Professors. Project guides and mentors (if
  available) can also be considered. HODs,
  Principals and Directors are a strict no-no
  unless they have been directly associated in
  teaching the candidate.
• 3. In case the applicant has a work experience
  then 1 LOR should be from his immediate
  supervisor the another from University side.

• WHAT IS SOP?
• Statement of purpose is an essay to explain why a
  student want to pursue higher education, where as
  explaining the aspects what motivated them to
  choose MS/MBA and why. This is an opportunity to
  express how the student can be a right fit for
  the program and the university.
• HOW WILL AKKAM HELP STUDENTS
• We will provide students with the sop guidelines,
  which will help them to work on their SOP/Essay
  drafts. In addition to that, student can discuss
  with the Counsellor/Editor as how to approach to
  a specific essay question and the counsellor
  would provide the word limit and the essay
  topics.

• WHAT IS ESSAY
• There are many top ranked B Schools who asks for
  Essays other than SOP. The essays are a vital
  part of your application as the essays are an
  opportunity to tell them more about a student
  It will prove his/her strength in English also.
• HOW WILL AKKAM HELP STUDENTS
• We will provide the guidelines with the format ,
  length of the essays, word limit along with the
  essay topics as the topics of the essays varies
  according to the universities.

PROCESS FLOW OF UNIVERSITY APPLICATION

• 1)Before applying, decide which deadline student
  is planning to apply for, and ensure
• that the application is submitted before the
  date in order to be considered
• 2)Visit the University Official website for the
  online application link
• 3)For a first time user registration is required.
• 4)After the registration , one login id
  password will be provided for further use (i.e.
  uploading docs or editing your app.)
• 5)Fill up all the mandatory fields considering
  the required format and rule on or before the
  chosen deadline.
• 6)Once the online application is completed you
  can submit and pay the fees through
• using Credit Card/Dollar Draft. Dollar Draft
  is not advisable whereas there can be a
• high chance to get misplaced.

PROCESS FLOW OF UNIVERSITY APPLICATION

• 7)GMAT/GRE scores can be submitted 1day before
  the deadlines, all the other supporting documents
  should reach the university before the
  application deadlines.
• 8)The Admissions Board will examine the
  application in detail . Based on the educational
  background, professional experience and
  international exposure, as well as the Essays and
  Recommendations they will decide whom to invite
  for the interview process.
• 9)Based on the Interview performance the
  committee/University will send you the Offer
  Letter, for which you have to pay the admission
  fees to reserve your seat.
