2The 14th Acosta Cup Open ladies football
tournament semi-finals which kicked off on
November 17, 2017 at the Tionko field was shared
to sports enthusiasts and the Davao Sportswriters
Association forum on November 16, 2017 by Luna
Acosta, daughter of Councilor Mabel Sunga-Acosta,
at the SM City Annex building. Ulticon Builders
Incorporated (UBI), ran and headed by Mr. Charlie
Gonzalez, is one of the supporters or sponsors of
this exciting sports event in Davao City.
3This tournament and project aims to provide
female players an opportunity to compete and
showcase sportsmanship between teams, as well as
to promote the sport locally. The remaining
teams competing for the semi-finals were D Davao
Survivors against Philippine College of
Technology, and Soya against Sikat Alab.
4On November 19, 2017 Philippine College of
Technology (PCT) emerged as the winner with a
score of 3-0 in a championship match against
Soya. PCTs coach Alvin Troyo said that if not
for the teams intense training, determination,
and hard work they would not have won the
championship title.
5Ulticon Builders Incorporated believes that hard
work and determination are good values to impart
the youth as is the heart of the annual Acosta
Cup Open ladies football tournament, and the
coaches, schools, and teams who are involved in
it. It is also one way of honing to be a person
against corruption, bribe and fraud. Ulticon
believes the integrity is also develop in this
football sports.
6- Ulticon Builders Incorporated (UBI) thanks the
organizers of the Acosta Cup for its continued
support to our young local lady football
players. UBI aims to continue to use its
resources to partner with organizers who run
events like the Acosta Cup to help the youth
develop confidence, skills, and the right values
to aid them to become better individuals not just
for their own good but for the good of others.
