Facing tragic with courage

• They say behind every success of a man there is a
  woman, but here the success story is of a woman.
• A woman with grace and dignity has the courage to
  face every family and personal tragedies of her
  life and finally led the Thermax Ltd. Anu Aga is
  the chairperson of the company from 1996 to 2004.
  
• She is that woman who teaches nothing can stop
  success if you have the guts to do it. The Anu
  Aga Biography teaches that no excuse is going to
  work if you have the willpower to face your
  problems, remove them from your path and finally
  reach your destination.
• She was figured as the eighth richest Indian
  woman and her name was there in the top 40 list
  of the richest women in the world in 2007.

The Early Life

• Born in a Parsi family in Mumbai, Anu Aga joined
  the St. Xaviers College, Mumbai to pursue her
  B.A degree in Economics.
• Later she did a post-graduation from the famous
  Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and
  then went to the United States for 4 months with
  a scholarship.
• She started in Thermax in 1985 and later shifted
  to the human resource division of the company.

The tragedy

• Soon after her entry in the Thermax Pvt Ltd, she
  got married to Mr Rohinton Aga who was a graduate
  of Harvard Business School.
• Later they had 2 kids, daughter Meher and son
  Kurush. Soon her tragic life started. In 1996 due
  to a massive stroke, her husband passed away.
• Till then her husband was the chairperson of the
  company. But now due to the loss of her husband,
  the company suffered a great loss as there were
  no roots.
• While she was searching for some roots in the
  company, her 25-year-old son died in a road
  accident.
• What can be more tragic than losing your husband
  and son at the same time?
• The Anu Aga family went through a lot of ups and
  downs.

The comeback

• In the late 90s, Thermax was losing its power
  from the market. But here comes the bravery of
  the great lady.
• Rather than getting shattered, she stood up
  again. Soon she became the chairperson of
  Thermax. And within few years with the help of
  Boston Consulting Group, she transformed the
  company into a global leading company to take
  energy environment projects.
• In 2004 she handed over the position to her
  daughter.
• The Anu Aga Biography had taught lessons on how
  to face the greatest tragedies of life and stand
  straight! This woman is a true inspiration!
