Childventures Early Learning Academy
  • Virtues Project

2
Virtues Project for Children
  • The Virtues Project is a positive, holistic
program which is designed to bring out the best
    in children and adults.
  • Virtues are the content of our character and
    exist within each childs potential.
  • The project is a way to awaken these already
existing virtues, allowing each child to act on
    the best within them.
  • Through daily interactions, simple strategies are
used within the Childventures curriculum to help
children to remember who they really are and to
know that the purpose of life is to have a life
    of purpose.
  • Through the implementation of The Virtues
Projects, Childventures foster in our children
virtues such as Respect, Thankfulness, Patience
    etc.

3
Childventures Virtues in Education
  • A virtue is a trait or quality that is deemed to
be morally good and thus is valued as a
foundation of principle and good moral being.
  • Virtues are very different from values.
  • Value denotes the degree of importance of
something or action, with the aim of determining
what actions are best to do, what way is best to
live or to describe the significance of different
actions whereas Virtues are objectively good and
they necessarily involve actions which help to
improve a persons life as a whole.
  • To cultivate a positive, holistic approach to
    education, Childventures created the Virtues
    Project.
  • Through this program, children experience
positive virtues in their daily interactions and
activities to bring out the best in each child.
The Virtues Project takes a theme based program
and integrates a different virtue into their
curriculum to help each child live by their
    highest values.
  • Each virtue provides empowering strategies that
inspire the practice of virtues in everyday life.

courtesy. We treat others with dignity and honour

being grateful for what we have and it is an
attitude of being grateful for learning.
  • November Patience
  • Patience is hope and trust that things will turn
out right and is a commitment to the future. One
is tolerant of delay, problems, or suffering
    without becoming annoyed or anxious.

    and friendship.

  • December Unity
  • Unity helps us work and live together peacefully.
We feel connected to each other and all living
things. We value the specialness of each person
as a gift, not as a reason to fight or be scared.
With unity we accomplish more together than any
of one of us could alone.
  • January Self-discipline
  • Self-discipline means self-control. It is doing
what one really wants to do, rather than being
tossed around by your feelings like a leaf in the
    wind.
  • February Loyalty
  • Loyalty is staying true to someone. It is
standing up for something one believes in without
wavering. It is being faithful to your family,
country, school, friends or ideals, when the
