All About Chemical Peels
  • Chemical peels range in cost, as the type and
intensity of the treatment varies. There are
inexpensive at-home peels, or superficial peels,
on the market for the do-it-yourselfers out there
that can help with some mild discoloration.
However, for men and women with more serious
cases of acne scarring or wrinkles, you will
likely require a visit to have your chemical peel
done by a professional to see much of a
difference. In a plastic surgeons office or a
medical spa, licensed skincare professionals can
provide you with superficial peels but also
medium peels and deep peels. Medium peels can
help those seeking anti-aging benefits such as
reducing fine lines and wrinkles, and can improve
deeper discoloration. Deep peels are used for
such cases as moderate wrinkles and scarring.
When it comes to professional treatments, costs
typically can range from 200-500. Many are
swearing its worth every penny for the dramatic
results, especially when treatments are recurrent.

Three Types of Chemical Peels
  • Light Chemical Peel
  • A light chemical peel or Glycolic Acid Peel is
generally for people that have mild skin
condition. The peel is made of glycolic acid that
is found naturally in sugar cane, depending on
the needs of the clients other ingredients are
added. Light chemical peels can be done on the
whole face or just spot treatment for problem
areas. The whole process usually takes less than
an hour and clients have little to no recovery
    time.
  • Medium Chemical Peel
  • A medium chemical peel or Trichloroacetic Peel is
best for people with blemishes, scars, uneven
pigment or darkness under the eyes. This chemical
peel is more intense than a light chemical peel
but requires less recovery time than a deep
chemical peel. The benefits of a medium chemical
peel are improved texture and tone to the skin.
  • Deep Chemical Peel
  • A deep chemical peel also known as a phenol peel
is the most strenuous peel. Deep chemical peels
are only recommended for clients that have severe
skin conditions. Clients with darker skin or
freckles should not get a deep chemical peel as
it will have lasting damaging effects. The deep
chemical peel is made of carbolic acid and should
be not be done more than once a year.

Chemical Peel Yes Or No?
  • When should you not consider a chemical peel?
  • Before you can get a chemical peel done you need
to make sure you speak with a dermatologist to
make sure you can do the process. The process
requires a lot of chemicals and acids, so make
sure this is the best option for you. These are
chemicals that will be going into your body, so
no one who is pregnant or nursing should consider
a chemical peel. Also, do mention to the
dermatologist what medications you are taking to
make sure there will be no reactions from the
chemicals of the peel and your medications.
  • All this take of chemicals and acids on my skin,
    will it hurt?
  • The gentlest of peels, superficial or lunchtime,
will leave you with a sting on your skin, where
the chemicals were applied. Redness, irritation,
andcrusts over the treated area are a few other
reactions that could happen after getting a
chemical peel. After all, your newsensitive skin
    replaced the old dead skin!

Why Do Lip Injections Create An Appearance
Attractive To Men?
  • Youthfulness
  • It's no secret that, for the most part, men are
attracted to women of the younger variety. When
young, the body is capable of producing the
amounts of collagen necessary to give lips a
fuller look. By artificially enhancing the
fullness of one's lips, the psychological
connection men have with youthful attractiveness
is immediately established. Even though men are
unaware of it, the first facial feature their
eyes are drawn to is the lips. There's been many
theories put forth as to why this is, but one
thing is certain, fuller lips present youth and
    men like youth.
  • Good Health
  • At the root of all sexual attraction is the
underlying instinctual drive to procreate. Both
sexes have their own measures by which to judge
the suitability of a potential mate. Good health
is a measure shared by both. Just as with youth,
health plays an important role in the body's
production of collagen. Thus a healthy collagen
producing body is synonymous with fuller lips
providing the same psychological connection as
    found with youthfulness.
  • Happiness
  • Everyone wishes to be matches with a happy
partner man included. Happy partners inspire
happy selves and everyone wants to be happy. The
    self-consciousness associated with thinning lips
can easily sway women from smiling like they used
to. Fear of stretching out and further thinning
already thinning lips often causes women to stop
presenting that happy presence desired by men.

4 Lip Injections Myths Youve Probably Believed
  • Lip injections are not for young people
  • Over 60 percent of ASPS plastic surgeons surveyed
said that theyve seen an increase of patients
under the age of 30 looking to get small
augmentations like dermal fillers. While getting
a procedure like this done is serious and should
be considered carefully, the numbers say that
cosmetic surgery is popular with young people.
  • Men dont get lip injections
  • While some people think lip injections are just
for women, The Daily Mail reported a spike in
2016 in the number of men getting the procedure.
  • Lip injections are dangerous
  • To some people, lip injections might be
    considered a painful, dangerous surgical
procedure. However, getting lip fillers is
anything but. According to the Derma Network, lip
injections are a non-invasive procedure that
occur only after the lips have been numbed.

The Dos and Donts of Lip Injections
  • Goals vs Expectations
  • Make sure to arrive at the doctors office with a
picture or representation of the lip shape and
fullness you are looking for. This will help
them decide what treatment you need and how many
sessions you can expect to need. You cant
expect extremely dramatic change with just one
treatment, so if you are looking for that, you
might be in for a few visits.
  • Rushing to Judgement
  • Remember that your lips are very sensitive and
that injecting filler will cause some initial
pain and discomfort, but those will fade over
time if they are done properly. Dont be too
quick to judge the look and shape of your new
lips. Keep in mind that they will need time to
heal, so wait a few days after they have healed
before you assess whether you need to have
    another injection or an adjustment.

The Dos and Donts of Lip Injections
  • Dont Forget the Details
  • You need to let your doctor have a full look at
your medical history when getting lip injections.
If you have certain health conditions, such as
chronic cold sores, you might not be a good
candidate for lip injections. Certain fillers
can also interact badly with medicine, so
ensuring that you mention any prescriptions or
supplements you take is important. It is also
important to stay away from certain drugs,
vitamins, and supplements immediately after your
procedure. Your doctor can give you more details
about what to avoid post treatment.
  • Take Care of Your Lips Post-Injection
  • Most contact with your lips should be avoided
for a few days after injections. This includes
kissing! Many fillers are flexible after they
are injected, so they can shift if too much
    pressure is placed on them.
  • Do Enjoy!
  • Once you are fully healed, make sure you
appreciate your new lip shape and enjoy their
improved appearance. You will be surprised at
how much of a difference fuller lips can have on
    your entire face and look.
