Size When it comes to air-conditioning, the size
that you get is very important. If you get a
system which is too small, you will find that it
isnt very effective, and if it is too large for
your home, it can cool the air quicker, but not
have time to remove the moisture resulting in
humid, yet cold air not a nice sensation. Both
of these situations will more than likely result
in a higher energy bill at the end of the
month. So, with this in mind, how do you know
what size AC system you need?

Exterior, Sun-Exposed Walls If you
have sun exposed exterior walls, these can heat
up your home significantly, and therefore have a
bearing on the size of AC system that you need.
Of course, if you are living somewhere with high
temperatures, such as Las Vegas, this will have
more of an effect than if you live somewhere
cooler.

  room by room as opposed to the block area

  size. As a rule of thumb, you can calculate the
  size of your AC unit according to the size of
  your home, as follows
