Day Wise Itinerary for Splendid Kerala (Ex -
Mumbai)

Day 1

• Arrive Cochin.  Drive to Munnar enroute visit
  Athirapally Waterfall (175 km 6-7 hrs) Arrival
  at Cochin Airport and proceed to the lunch point.
   Post lunch proceed to Athirapally Waterfall,
  Athirappilly Falls is the largest waterfall in
  Kerala and is nicknamed "The Niagara of India".
  It is located 1 half hours drive from the Kochi
  airport. Enjoy the waterfall and proceed to
  Munnar. Arrive at Munnar in the evening, check
  into hotel, overnight stay.

Day 2

• Munnar Sightseeing Day
• After breakfast, start Munnar sightseeing tour.
  Visit Tea Museum (03Km) and the Tea factory
  (Closed on Mondays and Good Friday), Mattupetty
  Dam (13km). Enjoy Shopping in Local Market.
   Drive back to hotel for dinner. Overnight stay
  at the hotel.

Day 3

• Munnar Thekkady (86km / 4hrs drive)After
  breakfast, proceed to Thekkady. Thekkady is a
  pleasant heaven on earth for those who love
  nature in its wild manifestations. Spices are
  found in abundance in Periyar. In the afternoon
  get ready for a spice plantation tour to see a
  wide variety of spices like cardamom, pepper,
  tea, coffee, cloves, ginger, turmeric, cumin
  seed, etc. You can enjoy Elephant Joy-Ride here.
  Later proceed to Kathakali Show in a local
  theater.  Kathakali is one of the major forms of
  classical Indian dance distinguished by the
  elaborately colorful make-up, costumes and
  facemasks that the traditionally male
  actor-dancers wear. Drive back to hotel for
  overnight stay at the hotel.Note-Please note the
  boat-ride at Periyar Reservoir is not included in
  our package. One can book the tickets online in

  details. Please note the boat-ride will be
  subject to water-level of the lake. Usually there
  are limited tickets available for last minute
  bookings at the counter one may not get tickets
  due to heavy rush so it is advisable to book the
  tickets online in advance.

Day 4

• Drive Thekkady Kovalam (208kms/ 6 to 7 hrs
  drive)After breakfast, proceed to Kovalam.
  Kovalam - breathtakingly beautiful - a haven of
  peace and tranquility - the idyllic tourist
  destination in God's own country. Kovalam offers
  an excellent diversity with Kovalam beach to suit
  all desires and occasions. Visit light house
  beach and Hawah beach. Overnight stay at the
  hotel.

Day 5

• Day trip to Trivandrum leisure at Kovalam
  BeachAfter breakfast, we proceed to
  Padmanabhaswamy Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
  The temple is famous for having the deity in the
  eternal sleep posture. We later proceed to visit
  Napier Museum, With rare collections of bronze
  articles, antique musical instruments and ivory
  carvings, it is also known for its admirable
  architectural design.Note  It is mandatory to
  follow dress code to enter the temple. Men need
  to wear Dhoti, and should not wear shirts of
  any kind. Dhotis are available for rent at the
  temple entrance. And Women need to wear sari,
  skirt and blouse, or half sari.
• Optional TourExcursion to Kanyakumari (88 km 3
  hrs drive - one way) - Located at the southern
  tip of peninsular India, it is the last point of
  Indian peninsula. Visit rock memorial dedicated
  to Swami Vivekananda, Kanyakumari Mata Temple
  and, Suchidram Temple with exquisite sculpture
  musical pillars dedicated to Brahma, Vishnu
  Shiva. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6

• Kovalam Alleppey (160Kms 5-6 hrs drive)After
  breakfast proceed to the "Venice of India" noted
  for its winding waterways and canals. It is an
  important commercial and business town,
  manufacturing and exporting coir products and
  black pepper. Explore the natural beauty of
  Kerala, the paddy fields, narrow canals, coir
  villages etc. You can enjoy the boat ride at
  Vembanad Lake.Evening at leisure. Overnight stay
  at hotel.

Day 7

• Drive Alleppey Cochin (65 Kms / 2-3 hours
  drive) Transfer to airportAfter breakfast
  proceed to Cochin, the gateway to Gods Own
  Country also known as Queen of Arabian Sea.
  Proceed to Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace and
  time permitting free time for shopping. Later
  proceed to airport in time to board your flight.
