INTRODUCTION

• Li-Fi Can be thought as light based Wi-Fi which
  replaces radio signals with light waves to
  transmit Information
• Li-Fi is Like a router but instead of radio
  signals they do use white LEDs
• Li-Fi is widely recognized by the Harald Hass at
  TED platform in July 2011

Li-Fi assembled by the four Main parts

• Bulb
• RF Power Amplifier PM2017
• PCB Printed Circuit Board
• Enclosure

WORKING

• Li-Fi operation is very simple
• Li-Fi will work only with VLCs
• If LED light is ON Data 1 will transfer and if
  LED is off then data 0 will transfer
• Operation of LED is less than 1 µ.sec
• A Controller is used to control these LEDs in
  a Systematic Procedure

Future Scope

• China Researchers developing a micro chip Light
  bulb that could enable up to 150 Mbps data
  transfer
• If all goes fine then, 10 Gb of data transfer in
  1-2 seconds is Possible
• If we make solar light as Li-Fi friendly Imagine
  Digital world will be ready in few Seconds

• Li-Fi is like a Wi-Fi but uses 802.11 Protocols
• Fluorescent and Incandescent bulbs are not
  suitable with Li-Fi
• Assume if 14 billion light bulbs are replaced
  with LEDs then every home, Office will acts as a
  Hotspot

• Less energy consumption Reduces electro
  magnetic Pollution
• Used in Few Medical Instruments
• This will solve frequency and Band width
  limitations
• Li-Fi woks under water also

DRAWBACKS

• Light Cant pass through objects
• High Installation for VLC systems
• Its not a Bidirectional
