If you havent heard or dont know how to upload
PDF files to your WordPress site, then here we
will show you how easily you can upload PDF files
to your WordPress site. WordPress has a feature
which allows you to upload PDF files and you can
make available for download.

UPLOAD YOUR PDF FILES IN WORDPRESS POSTS AND
PAGES You can upload PDF files in WordPress
without installing any plugin on your WordPress
site. Before Uploading you need to edit the post
or page where you want to upload the PDF file. On
the post or page editor screen, you have to click
on Add Media button.

Now after clicking on Add Media button, you will
get WordPress Media Uploader Popup. After that,
you have to click on Select Files button to
select the PDF files you want to upload.

Now WordPress will Upload your PDF files to your
site. After uploading, you can see a thumbnail
preview of your PDF file. On your right-hand side
column, you will get a form in which you can
enter your file title, caption and description of
your file. You can also select the file how you
want to it to be linked. By default, the PDF file
will link itself. You can also change attachment
display settings from Media file to Attachment
page.

To add your PDF file into the post or page, click
on the insert into post. The media uploader
popup will now automatically disappear, now you
can see your PDF file download link in your post
editor. You can now continue editing your post or
publish it. Now you have successfully uploaded a
PDF file and added it to a WordPress blog
post. Visit your WordPress site to see it in
action.

UPLOAD AND EMBED A PDF FILE IN WORDPRESS POST OR
PAGE In this method, you can view your PDF file
inside your WordPress post or page using a
WordPress Plugin. For this, you have to install
and activate the Google Doc Embedder
plugin. After activation, you have to visit
Settings GDE Settings page to configure plugin
settings.

Here you can mention the language, height, width
of the embedder and few other settings. Normally
default options work for the most website, but
you can change them if you need. Next, you have
to move over to the post or page where you want
to embed PDF file. On the post or page edit
screen, you have to click on the Add Media
button to upload your PDF document. After
uploading your PDF file, you have to copy the
file link or URL and then close media uploader
window without inserting the PDF file into your
post.

Now, you have to click on Google Docs Embedder
icon in your WordPress post editor.

Now you will get a popup where you need to paste
the PDF file URL you copied earlier and then
click on the Insert button.

You can see a shortcode added to your WordPress
post editor. Now continue editing post or page or
publish it. At last for confirmation visit your
WordPress website to see the PDF file embedded
into your WordPress post.
