Wireless Network, as the term suggests has
minimized the entangled wired connection of
computer system and printer. This has also
reduced the confusion of fixing the wires into
the ports for those who are not tech-friendly.
But sometimes, there are some functions in the
wireless device as well which will leave in
wondering what would be the next step. One such
function is how to monitor the Canon Wireless
Network.

Below is the procedure for monitoring the device
easily and without any help
  • Access IJ Network Tool Below is the process of
    starting IJ Network Tool-

  • Windows 8, From Start screenlt choose IJ Network
    Tool. If you couldnt find the tool in Start
    option, then select the Search option and look
    for IJ Network Tool.
  • In Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP, go
    to Start and choose All programslt Canon
    Utilitieslt IJ Network Tool.

2. In Printers select the printer. 3. From the
View menu, choose Status. You can check the
printer status and connection performance from
the Status screen. 4. Click Advanced Measurement
if you want to check the connection performance.
Connection Performance Measurement screen will
appear.

5. Select Next option. The status will be
displayed and the measurement will begin. It will
take few minutes to complete. 6. Review the
status The status will be displayed when the
process is finished. When a is appears it means
the printer can interact with the access point.
Or check the following for improving the status
of communication link and select Re-measurement.

  • Ensure that the printer and access point are
    positioned within the wireless connectivity range
    without any obstruction.
  • Distance between the access point and printer
    is not too far. Also, there should be no source
    of radio interference near the printer device and
    access point.

  • Access points radio channel should be close
    to other access points
