Title: The seven main islands of the Canaries

1
The seven main islands of the Canaries
  • TENEREIFE GRAN CANARIA LANZAROTE
FUERTEVENTURA LA PALMA LA GOMERA EL HIERRO

2
TENERIFE
  • As the largest island, Tenerife has become the
main entry and exit point to and from the Canary
    Islands.

3
GRAN CANARIA
  • Described as a miniature continent, Gran Canaria
is more like three continents on one island.
Blessed with a diverse topography, the third
largest island in the Canaries is also surrounded
    by 236 kilometers of coastline.

4
LANZAROTE
  • Born out of water and fire, Lanzarote in the
Canaries is no less than a rocky paradise. The
fourth largest island in the Canary archipelago
showcases a rare mix of varied topography which
    stands out above the rest.

5
fuerteventura
  • Fuerteventura is a perfect blend of arid
    landscapes, sleepy fishing villages, and
fantastic beaches. It is the second largest
island in the Canaries where visitors get lost in
its rolling dunes, bizarre volcanic rocks, and
    stunning dormant volcanoes.

6
La palma
  • Deep into the Atlantic Ocean, in the way of the
northern winds, sits the peaceful island of La
Palma. About a million years old, La Palma is the
union of two contrasting islands. Up north, the
area is brimming with lush forests, where verdant
vegetation drips from the rainforest canopy.

7
La gomera
In the heart of the Atlantic Ocean sits the calm
and peaceful La Gomera Island. Surrounded by
towering rock walls, this piece of subtropical
paradise looks like an impermeable fortress from
a distance. Narrow, winding roads writhes around
cliffs and up ravines, and the houses perch
perilously on inaccessible crags.
8
El hierro
  • El Hierro was only known for one thing being the
edge of the Earth. Today, the smallest and
youngest of the Canary Islands boast a lot of
titles, thanks to its unspoiled nature, prominent
location, rich culture and the governments plans
    and efforts for advancement.

9
Have you been to the Canary Islands?
  • We would love to hear from you. Our goal is not
to give you a glimpse but to let you experience
what it is like to be there. As such, we do not
charge for writing about hotels, restaurants, and
other commercial establishments. In fact, we
would love to hear from guests of the islands and
share take their experience as ours. In the
process, we could share that experience with the
    rest of the world.
