IIT JAM Admission Procedure After Result
Announcement
Only those candidates who have qualified the IIT
JAM exam is eligible for the admission in IITs
and IIS academic programs.

• The candidate should apply for the admission form
  online available at the official website
  http//jam.iitd.ac.in. The last date for the
  submission is 25 April 2017.Note The OBC-NCL
  candidates must upload their OBC-NCL certificate
  with their admission form in the prescribed
  format. The format should be strictly followed.
• 2. The candidate must fill the single form
  irrespective of whether a candidate has qualified
  one or two tests.

3. The candidates should submit the listing of
all the programs at IITs and order of preferences
of candidates seeking admission. 4. Login to the
JAM website(JOAPS), fill all the details in order
of choosing program preference based on the
required information such as MEQ of the program
at the institute. 5. Payment of Rs.600/- is
made online as a non-refundable processing
fee. 6. The order of the preference is taken into
the consideration of the filled admission form
and the rank in the merit list.

7. There are three admission lists announced by
the organizing institute. 8. According the post
preference merit list, the First Admission List
for each program is announced by the Institute.
The list announced on 31 May  2017. 9. After
first admission list announcement, the admission
offer is sent to the concern candidate by the
admitting institute. 10. The candidate has to pay
an advance seat booking fee (Rs.10,000/- for
general and Rs.5000/- for SC/ST/PwD category
candidates).

• This fee is adjusting, at the time of
  registration by the admitting institute.
• 12. Now, if seats are still vacant after the
  first admission process over, the institute
  announce Second Admission List. The list
  announced on 16 June 2017.
• 13. The offer based on second list has been send
  to the candidate concern by the admitting
  institute.
• 14. The booking money and the procedure is same
  for the candidates acceptance form.

15. If seats remain vacant after the second
admission procedure over, the institute announced
third and Final list called Third and Final
Admission List and the procedure will be same for
the candidate and institute for the offer letter
and acceptance letter. The list announced on 30
June 2017. 16. The admission processed are closed
after the final list admission procedure over.

17. If the seat is allocated to the candidate
through first admission list and offer letter is
accepted then his/her all lower preference if
any, are cancelled.
