All about Peripheral Neuropathy and Its Treatment
This article is about peripheral neuropathy the
various types of treatment related to its cure.
However so, let us first understand what diabetic
neuropathy is because peripheral neuropathy is a
type of diabetic neuropathy. Diabetic neuropathy
is a damage caused to the peripheral nerves due
to uncontrolled levels of sugar which has been
left unattended and lingering for a few years. If
you suffer from diabetes and experience any sort
of burning or tingling sensation, pain or
numbness in your lower legs or feet or hands,
then these symptoms would suggest that you are
probably suffering from peripheral neuropathy.

This leads to failure of experiencing any sense
to any injury caused to your feet and in case of
severity, you may be subjected to infections
which might also result in possible amputation of
the affected limb. There are a few Natural
Neuropathy Treatments which you can follow to
keep the peripheral neuropathy under check.
Firstly follow a healthy diet. Focus on reducing
the level of your intake of refined carbs, foods
with high level of sugar content and make sure to
include whole and unprocessed food in your diet.
Your diet plays a very important role in managing
your sugar level which eventually would help in
preventing permanent damages from peripheral
neuropathy. Exercising regularly can do wonders
in controlling your blood sugar levels. Be it
simply walking, cycling or swimming, these tend
to make your body respond to insulin in a better
way resulting in lowering your increased blood
glucose level to an extent that you probably
would not be requiring medications at all.
Studies have also proven that natural
antioxidants and anti-inflammatories like Vitamin
B12, chromium picolinate, cinnamon oil, primrose
oil, etc, if used under the guidance of a doctor
helps in prevention of nerve damage.

If going the natural way doesnt work for you
then PRP and Stem Cell Therapies are commonly
used for the treatment and a combination of both
the therapies works for the greater benefit of
the patient. Stem Cell therapy is a non-surgical
treatment which involves injecting the patients
stem cells, platelets and growth factors into the
damaged areas. The uniqueness of the stem cells
lie in repairing the damages caused to the bones
and the cartilage and they can transform
themselves into raw materials which are essential
for the rebuilding the soft tissues and the
bones. On injection of the cells, these cells
tend to signal the healing and inflammatory cells
in the joint and the regeneration process
initiates. While injection of the stem cells
proceeds, doctors will also include PRP therapy.
The PRP therapy requires blood to be drawn from
the patients arm which requires to be spun in a
centrifuge for at least fifteen minutes. The
blood tends to get separated into multiple layers
and the layer which contains most concentrated
growth factors and platelets is used elimination
of the neuropathic pain.
