Rainy Day Activities for the Gold Coast
2
  • Rainy days can be real downers, but only if you
let them get you down. Remember that theres as
much to do on rainy days as there is on sunny
days, especially on the Gold Coast. Activities
abound on the Gold Coast, which means no matter
how the weather looks outside, there will always
be something to do. For example, you could get
scared at Draculas Haunted House, knock down
some pins at the bowling alley, play a few rounds
of mini golf or go on an adventure at the
    Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.

Get Scared at Draculas Haunted House
  • Draculas Haunted House in Surfers Paradise is
the perfect place to scare up some rainy-day fun.
At this haunted house, each level has its own
theme with eye-catching FX special effects, scary
displays, cool optical illusions and spooky
passageways. This is one of the most exciting and
unique places to take the kids when rain clouds
start to darken your beautiful holiday. Just keep
in mind that kids must be 10 years or older to
    enter.

4
Take the Family Bowling
  • Bowling is even more fun when youre on holiday
with the family, and the Gold Coast has several
options, including the ever-popular AMF Bowling
Robina and the Surfers Paradise Tenpin Bowling
    Centre.
  • AMF Bowling Robina has 24 lanes, a café with a
sitting area and a full-service, fully licensed
bar. You and the family can bowl, play M9 Laser
Skirmish, visit the arcade or play in the dark
with glow in the dark bowling.

5
  • Surfers Paradise Tenpin Bowling Centre is
located on the first level of the Centro Shopping
Centre and is a place for ultimate fun. The
Tenpin Bowling Centre also offers glow in the
dark bowling, an arcade, giant TV screens
displaying cartoons and video clips for the kids,
automatic bumpers to prevent gutter balls and so
    much more.

6
Play a Few Rounds of Mini Golf
  • King Tutts Putt Putt in Carrara Markets and
Surfers Paradise are perhaps the most famous
indoor mini golf courses on the Gold Coast. King
Tutts at Carrara offers 18 holes of mini golf
through mock ancient Egyptian and Asian ruins.
Not to mention adventure at holes featuring
medieval times, pirate ships and rainforests. On
the other hand, you can take a trip further back
in time at the Surfers Paradise location and play
through the Jurassic course that features
    colossal dinosaurs.

7
Have an Adventure at the Currumbin Wildlife
Sanctuary
  • Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the most
popular attractions on the Gold Coast and a true
homage to Australias indigenous heritage and
culture. But more than anything, its a place for
adventure, even on those rainy days.

8
  • You can marvel at the Bird Flight Show, take a
picture with a koala, go on a Segway Safari,
zipline through the trees or learn a lot from Dr.
Doo-Lots. It doesnt matter what strikes your
fancy, the sanctuary has an adventure for
everyone. On the list of fun things to do on the
Gold Coast its certainly at the top.
