Title: Cost of Dry Walling a House

1
Knowing the Costs of Drywall

2
What is Drywall? Dry wall is the one of the
efficient methods used for construction purpose.
The actual product is known as gypsum board.
Gypsum is a sedimentary and soft material which
is used in fertilizers, plasters and
construction. Drywall is especially used for the
creation of ceilings and wall present inside
house or any other structure where it will never
get exposed to many other elements.

3
Drywall vs. plaster Plaster is still used in
construction these days. One of the best uses of
plaster is in curved walls. Whereas some other
benefits include that it is thicker than drywall
and it is also good for sound-deadening. On the
other hand, plaster is more rigid and prone to
cracking in new constructions as a result of
earthquakes. Plaster is more expensive as
compared to drywall as well.

4
Plaster is used generally for restorations or
aesthetics in historic homes. It is possible to
create curve panels with drywall but the
technique requires a very good degree of
expertise to moisten and shape the panels in the
best possible manner. The damage to plaster walls
can include fixes from simple to major
reconstruction of the wall. On the other hand,
drywall includes cutting the damaged section and
replacing it with new cut section, smoothing
walls and then applying the paint or texture all
over again.

5
Costs of dry walling a house The cost of
installing drywall is almost 1.50 per square
foot. After the addition of labor and material,
cost per panel ranges from 40 to 60. If the
area on which you have to work is larger than you
decide the costs by yourself. It means that cost
of dry walling a house varies according to the
complexity and size of the work. There are also
some other factors which influence your project
cost of dry walling a house such as environment,
job location and non-standard room feature such
as curves and arches.

6

If you have plans of replacing drywall, you can
always take advantage of things that you should
check out along with timbers, wiring and many
other potential trouble spots.
