    is Australia. As it is surrounded by oceans, it
    is also referred to as an island continent.

    million square kilometers, this ocean territory
    is the third largest in the world. Being a
    country with more than 80 percent of residents
    living within 100 kilometers of the coastline, it
    is also known as one of the most urbanized and
    coast-dwelling populations in the world.
    Currently, the population of Australia is almost
    23 million people.

  • Australia is divided into six states and two
    territories. Queen Elizabeth II of the United
    Kingdom is the head of state as Australia is a
    constitutional monarchy. This is the reason why
    Australia's national flag comprises the Union
    Jack (along with the Commonwealth Star and the
    Southern Cross).

    to pay for their Fees each term.

Process to Apply
  • Application - As per institute guidelines
    students need to submit their academic and work
    experience documents. Only after the student
    meets all the guidelines, the institute issues an
    Offer Letter to the student. All institutes have
    different time frame for application process.
    However, the average process time is 1-4 weeks.
    In the case of Research applications, the process
    time is longer. Academic do not need to be sent
    to Institutes in original attested copies are
    widely accepted by all Institutes.

  • Visa - For most of the complete applications
    the process time for Visa Application outcome is
    4-8 weeks and sometimes even earlier than this.
    The Local Visa office at Australian High
    Commission can interview the student for further
    clarifications on visa file / documents
    submitted. Students are also expected to follow
    the prescribed checklist for submitting documents
    for visa for assessment. Check the new policy
    for new visa rules.

Accommodation Information
  • International student housing
  • Usually, these are located on campus or nearby,
    with single or twin rooms. Bed linen and cleaning
    are provided. Students eat their meal in a
    communal dining hall. Student can also get
    accommodations providing special dietary needs at
    around 200 - 300 per week.

  • House or Apartment ON RENT
  • Private apartments or house can be taken on rent
    by the students. You can either share the
    apartment or stay alone, these range from a
    two-bedroom apartment to a large house on its own
    land. Apart from an oven, curtains and carpet,
    most rental properties are unfinished. You need
    to pay for electricity, gas, phone and water,
    including connection fees. A bond of up to 4
    weeks is usually held by Tenancy Services and
    refunded when you move out, provided the flat is
    still in a good condition. Costs of complete
    apartment/ house can vary between 350 to 1000
    per week. Price also depends on the location of
    the property shared by 2-3 students which lower
    the total cost.

Homestay or private board
  • This can get you a room in a suburban house,
    usually with a garden and lawns. Adjustment of
    life in Australia can be done by the help of your
    host family. Depending on the room size and the
    facilities provided by the family the typical
    cost can be from 150 - 300.

  • Temporary Accommodation/ Hotels Initially you
    can choose to stay at Local hotel or Motel close
    to the campus for temporary period, costs of such
    hotel single occupancy vary from 50 - 150 per
    night.
