Welcome to Gowda Ortho
Ashok L. Gowda, M.D. is a fellowship trained
orthopedic surgeon. He treats all musculoskeletal
conditions including, but not limited to,
injuries related to sports/work/home/car
involving shoulders, hands, wrists, elbows,
knees, hips, and ankles as well as arthritis, and
back problems. He sees patients in his offices
in Silver Spring and Greenbelt, Maryland. He has
privileges at Sibley Memorial Hospital in
Washington D.C., Holy Cross Hospital in Maryland,
and several area surgical centers. Dr. Gowda
grew up in Michigan and graduated with a double
major from the combined accelerated medical
program at Thomas Jefferson Medical College in
Philadelphia. He completed an orthopaedic surgery
residency at New York Medical College. He then
completed a Shoulder Elbow Fellowship at
William Beaumont Hospital, continually ranked
among the best in the nation for orthopaedics by
U.S. News and World Report.
