When you decide the time has come to scrap a car,

1. Cleaning Your Vehicle

• You do not need to clean your vehicle when you
  decide to scrap it, it is going to car heaven it
  will not see the light of day again. The only
  thing this will accomplish is your scrap car will
  be the cleanest car in the scrap yard.

2. Having the v5 log book

• The v5 is handy for us to have but not essential
  as we can use the vin number to weigh the vehicle
  in. We have many customers who think because they
  have lost the v5 they must cancel the sale.

3. Making sure the battery is charged up

• We have jump leads on our truck and if it wont
  starts or run we can use the winch to pull it on
  to the recovery truck.

4. Having the tires pumped up

• It helps but it is not essential. The car can
  still be loading with 4 flat tyres.

5. Removing all fluids

• This is done by the scrap yard so you don't even
  need to consider getting dirt removing the oil,
  fuel and other liquids.

6. Making sure there is fuel in the vehicle

• The car does not need to have fuel in it because
  we can pull it on to our recovery truck with a
  winch.

7. Locating the history of the car

• The service history makes no difference to value
  of a car when being weighed in for scrap

8. Driving the car to us

• We offer a free collection service. If the car is
  out of mot or insurance don't risk your license
  trying to drive it to a scrap yard.

10. Making sure you have a spare tyre

• The spare tyre is not needed by us because the
