Necessarily, it doesn't mean doing something so
extraordinary. You just need to learn and tweak
things a little bit. So which are some of those
ideas you can embrace to ensure this?
4
Shoot from Above
  • Well, we are all used to having the camera and
the client at eye level. Try making things a
little more interesting by getting just above
    your model.

5
For one, you can stand on a step stool.
Alternatively, you can have the model sit on a
lower ground while you position yourself right
above them. You do not need to be so close or too
far away not to capture the best angles.
6
Think of Going Upside Down
  • Shooting a portrait in upside down angle requires
the eyes to shift to a new perspective. For
instance, you can try it with the client lying
comfortably on a sofa with the head slightly over
the edge. This idea has the unwavering ability of
capturing fine details of the eyes and the hair.

7
Try a Textured Background
  • Portrait photography dwells on capturing the
client, thats no brainer. However, having
    additional dimensions like textured background
can go a long way in enhancing the look of the
    photo.

8
In addition to giving the eye more to explore,
well-selected textured backgrounds also have the
ability of adding some greater depth to the
shots. For certain portraits, it can be as simple
as choosing orange grove background. Simply
choose what works for you and be sure to confirm
that the client loves it.
9
Bring in Motion
  • The conventional portraits are static. Do you
want to create an unexpected element to the shot,
the easier way? Well, it can be as easy as adding
a sense of motion to the portrait.

10
Artificial creations like bringing in a fan to
blow the hair can achieve scenic views you might
not have figured out. Add whimsy to the shot by
tossing objects in the air and sending others
flying in different directions. Have a perfect
timing and capture everything while keeping the
client still. You might not believe what you will
be able to achieve.
11
Alter the format Framing
  • Primarily, vertical framing is referred to as
portrait shooting. However, that should not
restrict you this kind of framing when shooting
portraits. You can always go out of the way and
mix your framings when shooting the portraits.
You will be amazed at what you will be able to
    capture.

12
Are you doing a portrait shooting in the next
couple of days? You can make the most out of
every shot you take by considering these tips.
Strive to pull out something different. Your
carrier might depend on it, you never know!
