Design and rules are two things that seem like
they shouldnt mix, but there are definite design
principles you should try to follow anytime
youre creating a graphic design. Design
principles can help you create awesome layouts
that are both effective and pleasing to the eye.
They can also teach you to better communicate a
message to your target audience in your projects.
For example, unlike art, design needs a focal
point to be successful. These principles can help
you figure out the best way to design your focal
points. Think of these principles as guidelines
to help you understand what is visually appealing
and why its appealing in your designs. They can
also help you understand why your design works
or why it doesnt. If you do a quick Google
search for principles of design youll get a
huge list with a bunch of different lists of
design principles with different princples. All
it means is that different designers word things
different ways, but the core concepts are all the
same.

1. Mondrian Layout
Mondrian layout refers to the forms square,
landscape or portrait, where every field is
parallel to the presentation field and loads the
image in order to form a composition that is
conceptual.

Multipanel layout is divided into various
sections or theme in same shape such as
rectangle, square, cube, etc.

4. Silhouette Layout
Silhouette layout refers to the layouts in the
form of illustration or photographic technique,
highlighted only through shadow. Presentations
can be shaped text-rap or spot color illustration
or refracted smooth image pickup along- with
photographic techniques.

5. Big-Type Layout
Big-Type layout lay emphasize on the font styles
and big font sizes so as to grab the attention of
the audience. Big-type layouts are usually used
for creating headline.

6. Alphabet-Inspired Layout
Alphabet- Inspired Layout focuses on the
arrangement of letters or numbers in an
appropriate sequence or forms a word or enhanced
to give an impression of story or an idea for the
advertisement.

2. The different kinds of colors
Through colors we can control reactions of an
audience and provoke them to certain behaviours.
The following paragraphs present commonly used
colors and describe their impact on users.
Warm bright colors
Beige, yellow, orange, pink, red and similar.
These are active, eye-catching colors with a
friendly nature that may induce a sense of
courage and energy. Warm bright colors visually
enlarge objects and make them seem closer. Due to
their high visibility I advise limiting their use
among subdued colors.

Cold bright colors
Lavender, silver, azure add subtlety, full of
aesthetics and freshness, accents. Such cold but
bright tones enhance a sensation of modernity and
professionalism if harmoniously combined with
gray. Its a nice composition for businesses,
commerce, and service websites especially with
health, cosmetic and medicine products.
Cold dark colors
Violet, blue, turquoise, green, navy give a
feeling of stability and quality. These shades
are often placed as accompanying colors. Although
they dont attract attention they emphasize the
content. Cold dark colors are widely used on
business websites for ambitious and hardworking
qualities with a special highlight for
government, science, automotive and computer
products.

Warm dark colors
Gold, purple, brown express classics, tradition,
luxury and relaxation. They blend well in
expensive and elegant designs for young and
rich. Mixed with cold colors give an impression
of modernity and novelty. Perfect for brands
engaged in finance, consulting, architectonics
and craft.
Neutral colors
White, grey and black help to create contrasts
and bring all the other colors out. They dont
convey any particular message on their own.
Neutrals are here to support their neighbours by
playing the role of complementation on
websites. Their use can be truly universal as
they work well in a variety of applications.
Black can be combined with bright colors and
white with dark colors, making a classic, almost
universal combination.

3. The Basics of Typography
Typography is a central component of design. It
gives us an understanding of the heritage behind
our craft. Its one of the primary ways we, as a
society, pass on information to others. Imagine a
website, a magazine or even TV without text.
Typography is a subject that raises passions and
it can become a consuming obsession. If this
subject is relatively new to you, or perhaps
something you want to know more about, then this
guide can start you on that journey.

4. White Space
White space means to let your design breathe with
a little open space between elements. White space
can also be referred to as negative space, since
its the absence of text and graphics. Remember
to include things like generous margins, space
between columns of text and other design elements
in your designs. Also, without some white space,
your design could be completely illegible or just
taxing for your viewer to read.
