Aluminium, due to its light weight and resistance
to corrosion, is used in household and business
establishments. Aluminium is one of the most used
metals around the world. From bathroom shower
curtains to patio furniture, Aluminium is used
almost everywhere. Even being light weighted,
Aluminium is high in strength, has superior
malleability, easy in machine and apart from
having excellent corrosion resistance, also has
good thermal and electrical conductivity.

• Though aluminium is highly used and said has
  great corrosion resistance. It is not completely
  immune to it.
• Therefore, the aluminium rods that are used for
  the bathroom shower curtains tend to get stains
  with mold over time if it continues to be kept in
  moisture environment, such as a bathroom.
• But no worries, because they say, every problem
  has a solution.
• Aluminium rods can be cleaned too, no matter what
  sort of stain it has. If you too have aluminium
  rods installed at your house or business, heres
  something you can do.
• Before we begin with the procedure, lets bring
  in everything we would need in the cleaning.
• Things that you would need includes, lemons,
  knife, salt, baking soda, scrub brush, spray
  bottle, warm water, white vinegar and soft rag.

To start with, cut a few lemons in half using the
knife. Now sprinkle 1 tsp. of salt, along with 1
tsp. of baking soda on every half piece of the
lemons. You may increase the quality of the
baking soda and the salt, if you feel the stain
are more, or the aluminium rod is highly damaged
with rust.
Now, scrub these lemon pieces on the stains over
the aluminium rod and run it back and forth a
several times. The acid from the lemons, adding
on the soda and salt will help remove the
oxidation and the molds, if any

Scrub the lemon up against the aluminium and run
it liberally back and forth. The acidity of the
lemon juice combined with the salt and the baking
soda will help remove oxidation as well as mold.
Use a scrub brush on the aluminium to further
scrape away any deposits. Now make a mixture of
one part white vinegar and three parts of warm
water in a bottle with the spray of a soft rag.
Apply the mixture over the rod, and with the help
of a damp rag, remove the rest of the stains. Now
run a dry rag along the rod, to dry it off. Your
aluminium rod is back as new.
