Express Entry
Federal Skilled Trades Program
  • Minimum requirements
  • plan to live outside the province of Quebec

Quebec Skilled Worker Program
Quebec Experience Class
  • PEQ Québec graduate
  • This program is aimed at you if you have obtained
    an eligible Québec diploma, or you are in the
    process of doing so, and you have an advanced
    intermediate knowledge of oral French.
  • You must satisfy all of the conditions of the
    Programme de lexpérience québécoise at the time
    of submission of your application for a
    Certificat de de sélection du Québec.
  • PEQ Skilled temporary foreign worker
  • This program applies to you if you currently hold
    a skilled job, if you have held a skilled job in
    Québec for at least 12 of the last 24 months, and
    if you have an advanced intermediate knowledge of
    oral French. The job experience acquired under a
    youth exchange program can be taken into account.
  • You must satisfy all of the conditions of the
    Programme de lexpérience québécoise at the time
    of submission of your application for a
    Certificat de sélection du Québec.
  • If you hold an eligible Québec diploma, you can
    also submit your application under the Programme
    de lexpérience québécoise Québec Graduate, if
    the selection conditions are more advantageous
    for you.

Family Class Sponsorship
  • Spouse, Common-law/Conjugal Partner, Dependent
    Children
  • Who can become a sponsor
  • You are a Canadian citizen or a permanent
    resident of Canada.
  • You are 18 or older.
  • Who you can sponsor
  • You can sponsor a spouse, common-law or conjugal
    partner, or child who lives outside Canada under
    the Family Class.
  • You can sponsor a spouse or common-law partner
    who lives in Canada under the Spouse and
    Common-Law Partner in Canada Class.
  • Sponsoring a Parent or Grandparent
  • You can sponsor your parent or grandparent if you
    are a citizen or permanent resident of Canada and
    if you are 18 years of age or older.
  • When you sponsor a parent or grandparent to
    become a permanent resident of Canada, you must
    promise to support that person and their
    dependants financially. Therefore, you have to
    meet certain income requirements. If you have
    previously sponsored relatives who later turned
    to the Canadian government for financial
    assistance, you may not be allowed to sponsor
    another person. Sponsorship is a big commitment,
    so you must take this obligation seriously.
  • If you live in Quebec, you must also meet
    Quebecs immigration sponsorship requirements
    after Citizenship and Immigration Canada approves
    you as a sponsor.
  • To sponsor your parent or grandparent, you must
    be living in Canada.
