Copper wires are widely used in marine and
automotive industry. The wires have also found
their applications in aerospace and mining
industries. The properties like high thermal
resistance, electrical conductivity and ductility
makes copper wires a standard metal for use in
aerospace industry, beating the likes of
stainless steel and titanium. Cheapest to
manufacture and longest shelf life are other
benefits of using braided copper wires.

Here are 5 applications of braided copper wires
in aerospace industry. 1. Aircraft bushings and
bearings The manufacturing of aircraft bearing
and bushing as per the latest industry standards
requires adherence to precision and tolerance
limits. The military planes require adherence to
even higher standards. The copper wires are
manufactured as per the customer specifications
depending on many factors like the size of the
plane.

2. Hydraulic/Electric pumps shafts The rise
of braided copper wires in terms of quality has
led to massive innovations in the aircraft
manufacturing industry. The copper wires are
mixed with beryllium and nickel to add extra
strength. All aircraft hydraulic systems and
pump systems are powerful units that can be
deployed with Ram Air Turbine (RAT) to generate
high torques.

in safety units. They are also used in airbag
