• Netflix CEO Reed Hastings said in a press
  release, Combining the Netflix app - and all the
  great content it provides - into the familiar,
  easy-to-use cable box makes both more appealing.

• Liberty Global CEO Mike Fries said in a
  statement, We are committed to bringing the best
  content to our customers, and are thrilled to
  expand our partnership with Netflix.

• Liberty Global announced this morning that it
  will make Netflix content available on its
  digital TV platforms in more than 30 countries
  between now and the end of 2017.
• The deal follows the launch of Netflix on
  Liberty's Virgin Media system in the U.K. in
  2013.

• You could watch Netflixs originals series, and
  original movies, as well as documentaries and
  kids programming. The Netherlands will be the
  first new Liberty Global territory to launch
  Netflix on the Horizon box.

• The new Netflix partnership with Liberty
  Global follows closely on the heels of a similar
  announcement between Netflix and US cable
  company Comcast Corp. In July, Comcast Corp. said
  it will include Netflix on its X1 video system.
  Comcast is the largest U.S. cable TV provider
  with 22.4 million subscribers.

• Under the deal, Comcast will include the Netflix
  app on its X1 set-top box. Currently, Netflix
  subscribers have to use a separate device, such
  as a Roku Setup box or Google Chromecast, to get
  Netflix service.
