Title: Dog Adoption

1
Dog Adoption
  • Why Adopt a Dog Rather Than Buying It?

2
Reason 1
  • Adoption Helps In Stopping The Overpopulation Of
    Pets

3
Reason 2
  • Estimated 5 Million Cats and Dogs are killed in
    Shelters each year.
  • Adoption Saves Lives of These Pets

4
Reason 3
  • Adoption renders a second chance to the pet that
    has once become homeless

5
Reason 4
  • Adoption Always Costs Lesser Than Buying New Pets
    From A Pet Store

6
Reason 5
  • Adopting Pets Could Get You A Great Animal That
    Could Be Already Trained Before

7
Reason 6
  • You could put an end on puppy mills.  Animals
from puppy mills are housed in shockingly poor
    conditions with improper medical care.

8
Reason 7
  • When you adopt a pet, you can also feel proud
about helping an animal in need.

9
Reason 8
  • Pets contribute to carbon paw print. You could
help the environment by adopting a pet rather
    than buying

10
Reason 9
  • You could transform the entire world of a
homeless pet that is probably on the verge of
    death

11
Reason 10
  • Old pets could be better suited for old people

Some facts about Shelter Homes
  • It costs U.S. taxpayers an estimated 2 billion
each year to round up, house, kill, and dispose
    of homeless animals.
  • Over 56 of dogs and puppies entering shelters
are killed (based on reports from over 1,055
    facilities across America.)
  • On average it costs approximately 100 to
capture, house, feed and eventually kill a
homeless animal - a cost that ultimately comes
    out of our pocket.
  • Each day 10,000 humans are born in the U.S. and
each day 70,000 puppies and kittens are born.
  • Less than 2 percent of cats and only 15-20 of
dogs are returned to their owners. Most of these
were identified with tags, tattoos or microchips.
