  • The 2016 UEFA European Championship, commonly
    referred to as UEFA Euro 2016 or simply Euro
    2016, was the 15th European championship, the
    quadrennial international men's
    football championship of Europe organised
    by UEFA. The English premier league was held in
    France from 10th June to 10th July. Spain were
    the two time defending heros, having won the
    2008 and 2012 series, but were eliminated in the
    round of 16 by Italy. France was chosen to host
    the 2016 finals in way beating turkey and Italy
    in this process. Also this Euro series had lots
    of Transfer News, which gave room for lot of
    gossips around and making the football lovers
    always in a sensational mode.
  • The matches were played at ten stadiums in ten
    cities like that of Paris, Bordeaux, Lens, Lyon,
    Saint-denis etc. Being the proud conquerors of
    the tournament, Portugal earned the right to
    compete the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup to be
    held in Russia.
  • It was a brilliant compelling game between Italy
    and Spain which created so much sensation. A
    superbly organized Italy deserved dethroned Spain
    from Giorgio and Pelle.
  • Giorgio Chiellini and Graziano Pelle scored the
    goals as Italy wanted to impose revenge for their
    Euro 2012 final defeat by dumping Spain out of
    Euro 2016 with a deserved 2-0 last 16 win in
    Paris on Monday.

  • Chiellini enforced home the winner from close
    range after goalkeeper David de Gea was able to
    parry Eders furiously struck free-kick. Pelle
    volleyed in a deflected cross in injury time to
    complete Spains anguish.
  • After being thrown out of the World cup in the
    first round in the Vincete del bosques team have
    now failed to get to the Euro quarters final.
  • A series of array of De Gea saves kept Spain in
    the game, but their quest for a remarkable third
    consecutive Euro title petered out as Gianluigi

    as Spains 15-game was victorious in the Euros
    came to an end on Tuesday with a 2-1 defeat to
    Croatia which cost them top spot in Group D.

    stopper.
  • Emanuele Giaccherinis acrobatic effort was then

    made by Antonio Contie when the Spain captain
    Sergio Ramos unnecessarily dived in on Pelle to
    concede a free-kick on the edge of the box.
  • Eders impressive effort was parried by De Gea
    only as far as Giaccherini and he punched the
    ball into Chiellinis path to bundle home.
