This type of air conditioning is a unit that has
two main mechanisms that are installed apart. One
of the units is on the outside of the home and
one inside. One type of split air conditioning is
the central air conditioning unit. There is
also a unit called a mini split air conditioner,
which does not use ducts to blow the air into the
home or room. Split-air conditioning can be used
to cool one or multiple rooms. Because they do
not use ducts they are referred to as ductless
units.

The two components are Inside unit-this
component is referred to as a blower. Its
function is to distribute the air to the room or
entire home. To distribute the air it is uses a
forced-air system that just uses ducts and a fan.
The cool air goes to a room through the vents.
When the air returns to the unit it is done
through an intake vent. Outside unit-this
component is referred to as a compressor. Its
functions are to handle the condensation and cool
the air. By handling the condensation the
homeowner does not have to worry about finding a
way to drain the water, which is created by the
indoor unit.

homeowners who do not want to cool every room or
the home does not have ducts. Using a mini split
air conditioning is easier than attempting to
install the duct work for the larger split air
conditioning unit. If you try to install and run
ducts you could accidentally cut into the walls.
The mini split unit cost more too initially
purchase but runs more efficiently than a window
air conditioners.

When installing the mini or small unit you will
need to install an air handling piece in the room
where you want the cool air to blow. There are a
couple of lines that are then connected to the
unit outside. You will have to drill through the
outer wall to attach the wires to the unit
outside but you will not have to cut the wall.

One of the connected wires will take away the
condensation and the other line will deliver the
coolant to the inside. Although you will need to
install one indoor component for each room you
want to cool all the wires are able to be
