  • If you have a unit or an establishment with more
    than 10 employees , then it is mandatory for you
    to have ESI registration that is Employee State
    Insurance Registration. On behalf of the

What is Employee State Insurance ?
  • Starting a factory/establishment brings many
    legal compliances , one such requirement is the
    ESI registration . ESI contributions have to be
    made for employees who draw a salary of upto
    Rs.15000. It is done to provide security to
    employees from sickness ,injury during course of
    employment, maternity and disability .Once
    registered the firm shall get a 17 digit unique
    identification code and employees can enjoy a
    host of medical facilities including sick pay
    leave facility .

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ESI REGISTRATION
  • Registration Certificate.
  • MOA and AOA or Partnership Deed or Trust Deed,
    depending upon the nature of business.
  • Certificate of commencement of production and/or
    Registration No. of CST/ST, if available.
  • Month wise employment position, salary etc.
  • List of Partners or Directors.
  • PAN Card.
  • Canceled cheque.
  • Any license that is applicable on the
    establishment.
  • Details of principal employer.
  • Copy of bank account statement.
  • Digital Signature.

Under ESI Act employer have to maintain the
following records
File containing all  monthly challans.
Inspection Book.
